Tondose
The legendary EMT Tondose (TSD 15) was introduced to the market in 1965 and was delivered in a cast magnesium housing from 1970 onwards. Tens of thousands of these were built and were used in broadcast studios around the world.
On the company's 80th anniversary in 2020, the EMT team carefully revised the Tondose and expanded the portfolio with new transducers. While the tried and tested generator remains basically unchanged, the housing is now milled from a solid block of magnesium. Therefore, stiffness and resonance behaviour have been significantly improved, which has an audible positive effect on the sound's dynamics and life character.
